  • A common sense approach should be taken in regard to caring for this unique bow tie! Do not dry clean this bow tie. Do not put this bow tie in a washing machine. Do not submerse in water. Do not use cleaning solutions that will mark or stain the fabric or wooden parts of this bow tie. Spot clean only with a clean cloth moistened with water. This is a unique bow tie made from wood and fabric, if cared for and stored correctly will last & be cherished for many years to come.
  • The front of this bowtie is made from Irish grown oak. The knot around the centre of the bow tie, has a felt lining wrapped with Irish lambswool tweed. The adjustable neck strap is made from Irish lambswool tweed with a double satin lining. The hardware sets used are of a premium highly polished back gunmetal.
  • We've named this beautiful speckled tweed 'Claddagh', which is now a suburb of Galway city, one which we live near & which we've grown up around. Many people around the world are familiar with the Claddagh ring, if they're not wearing one already! The area itself though has a colourful history, going back over a thousand years & regarded as the oldest fishing village in Ireland. The Claddagh is situated at the mouth of the Corrib river, and was once separated by this river, from the medieval walled in city of Galway. From the red sails on their boats to the present day views of the 'Spanish Arch', this tweed sums up our feelings of the 'Claddagh'.
